Deploy applications on your AWS account for free

Deploy applications on your AWS account for free

This is going to be big for startups!

LocalOps launched recently on Product Hunt and rose to Top #3 SaaS product of the week. One of the many feedback points we received was to have a free tier to let developers use LocalOps without much friction and potentially use for a longer period.

So, we are changing our pricing plan as of today. Developers can now connect their AWS account and connect Helm repository to deploy/manage their applications on AWS for free.

Checkout https://localops.co/pricing.

LocalOps Free plan has enough room to spin up test, staging and production environments of any size in the connected AWS account. All applications run within the connected AWS account and come enabled with production grade reliability on day one:

  • Private networking - Isolated VPC and private subnets
  • Managed cluster - AWS managed EKS cluster
  • Dedicated servers - AWS managed EC2 nodes which can be configured to have up to 192 vCPUs and 1.5 TB RAM.
  • Built-in load balancer - to reverse proxy and load balance incoming traffic
  • Built-in observability - to monitor and alert on logs & metrics using open source Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Security - with encryption at transit and rest
  • Redundancy - with multiple availability zones (physically separated data centres in same AWS region) used to run EC2 servers
  • Disaster recovery - with scheduled daily backups
  • ..and other capabilities.

No DevOps skillset is required to create and manage such environments. LocalOps abstracts away all the details of AWS for anyone to deploy applications within minutes.

Both Public SaaS and Private SaaS deployments:

Developers can connect their AWS account to spin up an app environment to run Production SaaS setup. In addition to that, they could connect their customer's cloud accounts to make Private (SaaS) deployments.

AWS charge:

AWS would still charge for all the resources provisioned by LocalOps. Startups can use their AWS Credits and end up getting all resources for free. Checkout how to apply & get AWS credits here, here or here for up to $100K USD.

If you don't qualify for AWS startup credits, you can buy AWS reserved instances and save up to 72% on all the EC2 bills. Chat with us from this page (see bottom right) and we have more ways for you to save on your AWS bills!
