Introducing LocalOps BYOC
Enterprise users can run LocalOps developer platform in their AWS account. LocalOps team will remotely setup and manage the instance 24/7.
LocalOps platform helps teams deploy their code on any cloud environment - cloud or bare-metal, their cloud or their customer-cloud. All in minutes instead of weeks, without hiring a DevOps team, writing Dockerfiles or Helm charts.
Starting today, teams can host & run LocalOps platform itself in their own cloud account (Bring your own cloud).
Why?
While we have strong NIST/SOC2 aligned data security controls in our SaaS version, data residency laws and other related policies might require enterprise users to have data in a specific country/location and might stop them from using our global SaaS solution (on console.localops.co).
We understand that and so we have come up with our BYOC (Bring your own cloud) version of LocalOps platform. This allows our enterprise users to host and run LocalOps platform in their own cloud account and region.
How it works?
You give us access to one of your AWS accounts. Then, our team will provision and manage a private/exclusive instance of LocalOps in that account. And your team(s) can access it on your domain like - deploy.yourcompany.com.
At a high level, here is the difference between our SaaS and BYOC version.
Before we deploy LocalOps in your AWS account, we will share the list of resources we will create and the estimated cost you will incur in that AWS account. Once you approve, we will proceed to set things up.
Unlike SaaS, LocalOps BYOC version will be setup in your AWS account.
You decide which regions amongst all the regions supported by AWS must host your private/exclusive instance of LocalOps.
Your Co. and teams alone can access the private instance of LocalOps.
You can create any number of accounts, any number of projects and users. This will all be owned by you and your Co.
Your Co. has to pay for all the resources running in your AWS account as part of the private LocalOps instance.
LocalOps will fully manage this private instance in terms of software setup, update and uptime.
Data ownership:
LocalOps BYOC enables you to host and own all the data (projects, users, code, docker images, deployment pipeline and others) in your premises / cloud account fulfilling your security policies.
Our Mission:
LocalOps Inc. was started with a mission to give data ownership back to users. We are more than excited to bring this BYOC version and support it first class. And for years to come!
